Turkish Airlines has postponed the launch date of its planned flights on the Istanbul–Dakar–Bissau route to 8 June 2026. The services will be operated twice weekly with the Boeing 737 MAX 8.
Turkish Airlines has revised the launch date of its Bissau services, which were previously scheduled to begin on 21 March 2026. According to the new plan, flights on the Istanbul–Dakar–Bissau route will commence as of 8 June 2026.
Date Update from THY for Bissau Route
Turkish Airlines (THY) has changed the start date of its Bissau services, which were announced as part of its plan to expand its network in West Africa.
The Star Alliance member airline announced that the flights, initially scheduled for 21 March 2026, have been postponed to 8 June 2026.
The services will operate from Istanbul via Dakar, the capital of Senegal, to Bissau, the capital of Guinea-Bissau.
Two Weekly Frequencies with 737 MAX 8
Under the new plan, the flights will be operated twice weekly with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft.
The planned flight schedule is as follows:
- TK593: Istanbul 15:55 – Dakar 20:40 / Dakar 21:40 – Bissau 22:40
- TK594: Bissau 23:55 – Dakar 01:00 (+1) / Dakar 02:05 (+1) – Istanbul 12:05 (+1)
