Turkish Airlines (THY) has become the new sponsor of the Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF). The sponsorship agreement was formalized with a signing ceremony held at the THY Headquarters. Present at the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of THY, Bilal Ekşi, General Manager of THY, Mehmet Akif Üstündağ, President of TVF, Eda Erdem Dündar, Captain of the National Women’s Volleyball Team, players Tuğba Şenoğlu İvegin and Oğuzhan Karasu, along with executives from both organizations.
Mehmet Akif Üstündağ emphasized the significance of this partnership, highlighting the collaboration between two of Turkey’s most prominent institutions and praising the current success of Turkish volleyball. He underscored the importance of THY’s role in Turkish sports.
Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of THY, emphasized the unifying power of sports, stating that THY is the national flag carrier of Turkey. Bolat expressed pride in THY’s support for TVF and announced that if the women’s national volleyball team becomes Olympic champions, they will each receive one million miles as a gift.
Following the signing ceremony, the parties exchanged gifts as a token of appreciation.
