Turkish Airlines (THY) is adding another destination in China to its flight network as part of its growth strategy in the Asian market.
In a notification made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was announced that the company’s Board of Directors decided to launch scheduled flights to the city of Urumqi in the People’s Republic of China.

“It has been decided by our Board of Directors to launch scheduled flights to the city of Urumqi in the People’s Republic of China, subject to opportunities and market conditions.”

The Urumqi route carries strategic importance for strengthening THY’s presence in the Chinese market. Located in western China, Urumqi is a critical hub for trade and logistics due to its proximity to Central Asia.
