Turkish Airlines Establishes a New Bridge Between Istanbul and Denver

Turkish Airlines has launched a new flight route between Istanbul and Denver, adding its 14th destination in the USA. This new route will increase the number of passengers, further strengthen its presence in the USA, and expand its international flight network. As the airline that flies to the most countries in the world, Turkish Airlines enhances its global reach with this new destination.

Denver, added as the 384th flight destination, deepens its presence in the USA. Turkish Airlines’ presence in the United States began with flights to New York in 1988. This process, which has continued with direct flights since 1994, has further expanded with the opening of the Detroit and Denver routes in 2023. Flying to 130 countries on six continents, Turkish Airlines further strengthens its network in the USA with the addition of Denver.

In a statement by Ahmet Bolat, the following information was provided:

“Today, we are excited to establish a bridge by connecting two great cities, Istanbul and Denver. Our presence in the United States dates back to the 1980s. Since 1994, we have been flying directly to the USA, which we added to our network with connecting flights to New York in 1988. Our Denver route, opened at the end of 2023 along with our Detroit route, will increase our passenger numbers and deepen and strengthen our presence in the USA.

As the flag carrier of our beautiful country, Turkey, we hold the title of the airline that flies to the most countries in the world. Our flight network includes 130 countries across six continents, and the 348th point added to our network is Denver, our 14th destination in the USA, which is one of our target countries. We made the first flight together with members of the press and discussed our new aircraft orders, our target passenger numbers in the United States, and our promotional efforts for Turkey.

We also had the opportunity to meet and chat with our cabin and cockpit crews during the flight. I would like to thank our captains Göker Bilir, Kerem Engin Erbengi, and Arda Hacıbekir, our cabin chiefs Pınar Serkek and Şeyda Özdağ, and our cabin crew members Sibel Şener, Canan Sancak, Kübra Çakmak, Büşra Başkeles, Cansu Öztürk, Rüveyda Er, Miray Yılmaz, Gamze Binkanat, Murat Güçlü, Ece Yücelingil, Mustafa Doruk Sarıyer, Fatma Gerengi, and our flying chefs Göksel Mert and Muhammed Feyyaz Türkkan for their hospitable and friendly service. You might remember the award-winning story writer Canan Sancak; her new book is on the way. One of our cabin crew members has also started their doctoral studies. I wanted to share this good news with you with pride and happiness.

Returning to Denver, as I walked through the airport terminal, I carefully looked at the real pictures of the ‘natives’ hung in the corridors. I was already familiar with the ‘Indian’ heroes in the ‘Texas Tommiks’ comic books from our childhood, but I thought: Actually, their ancestors were in our ‘Stone Hills’ during the Neolithic age. With the pleasure of serving our core mission of connecting people and cultures from all around the world by adding new destinations to our ever-expanding network, I took a selfie with ‘Tom’.”
