Turkish Airlines and Boeing Begin CBTA Training at TAFA
Turkish Airlines (THY) has partnered with Boeing to integrate Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) methodologies into student pilot training at the Turkish Airlines Flight Academy (TAFA).
The collaboration aims to train the airline pilots of the future as safety-focused professionals with strong risk management skills who can seamlessly integrate into operations. CBTA protocols ensure that trainee pilots adopt a performance-oriented, safety-centered approach from the early stages of their training.
Objectives of the Collaboration

Boeing representative Christine Bohl visited TAFA to assess the progress of CBTA implementation and contributed to defining strategic steps for training enhancements.
