A tragic incident occurred on Lion Air’s Surabaya-Medina flight operated by an Airbus A330-300. After completing flight JT-74 and safely landing at Medina Airport, a passenger was severely injured after falling down the stairs while disembarking from the aircraft during taxiing on the apron.
According to a statement by the Saudi Arabia National Transportation Safety Commission (NTSC), the unfortunate passenger was rushed to the hospital but, despite all efforts, could not be saved and passed away. The NTSC has assigned inspectors and launched an official investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
While the investigation into the details of the incident is ongoing, authorities have once again emphasized the need to enhance safety measures during air travel.
