In Sudan’s eastern state of Gedaref, a tragic accident occurred involving a pest control plane and a small vehicle carrying farm workers. The collision claimed the lives of four agricultural workers and injured eight others. The statement regarding the incident was made by Gedaref State’s Interim Minister of Agriculture, Ammar Suleiman.
How Did the Accident Happen?
Minister Suleiman explained that the accident took place on Friday in a farming area. According to the statement, the pesticide-spraying plane was descending when it collided with a vehicle that had entered the airstrip uncontrollably. One of the injured individuals is in critical condition and has been transferred to a hospital in the state of Kassala for treatment. It was reported that the three crew members on board the plane survived the crash, but the aircraft’s wings and propeller were damaged.
