What Rank Is Istanbul Airport? The 2026 List Surprised

The winners of the 2026 World Airport Awards have been revealed. Singapore Changi Airport has once again been selected as the “World’s Best Airport,” maintaining its global leadership.

A New Record for Changi

At the 2026 World Airport Awards held in London, Singapore Changi Airport once again claimed the top spot. Having previously won the same award 13 times, Changi has further strengthened its leadership with this year’s achievement.

Changi Airport Group CEO Yam Kum Weng stated that the success achieved is the result of continuous investments in passenger experience and service quality. In addition to the main award, the airport also stood out in restaurant services, immigration processes, and capacity categories, winning a total of four more major awards.

While Asian airports dominated the 2026 list, major hubs from Europe and the Middle East also ranked high.

Highlights from the Awards

In the 2026 awards, many airports stood out across different categories. Seoul Incheon Airport ranked second in the world and received the title of “most family-friendly airport.” Tokyo Haneda stood out in cleanliness and accessibility, while Hong Kong Airport drew attention with its security and infrastructure services.

In Europe, Paris Charles de Gaulle was selected as the “best airport” for the fourth consecutive time, while Munich Airport stood out with its staff services. In the Middle East, King Khalid Airport in Riyadh was awarded as the fastest-growing airport.

No Change at the Top for Airport Hotels

In the airport hotels category, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport in Singapore maintained its success by being selected as the world’s best airport hotel. In Europe, Hilton Munich Airport, and in North America, Grand Hyatt SFO ranked at the top in their respective regions.
