Artem Korenyako, an official from the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), announced that temporary restrictions on flight operations had been introduced in several cities, including Gagarin Airport in Saratov.
According to Korenyako’s statement, similar measures were also taken at the airports of Kazan, Penza, Tambov, Nizhny Novgorod, and Ulyanovsk. It was noted that these restrictions were implemented to ensure flight safety.
Rosaviatsiya announced that normal operations resumed after the short-term restrictions were lifted.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported that 15 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched by Ukraine were destroyed by Russian air defence systems. Ten of these UAVs were intercepted over the Voronezh Region, while the remaining ones were neutralised in other regions.
Defence sources stated that an additional seven UAVs were shot down overnight. Officials emphasised that the airspace restrictions were considered part of preventive measures against such attacks.
