Synaptic Simulations Updates Airbus A220 for MSFS 2020/2024

Synaptic Simulations has released v1.0.9 and v1.0.9a of their A220 with iniBuilds on the iniManager and the MSFS Marketplace, with updates focusing on performance, system fixes, and various visual changes.

Performance is again the main focus, with Synaptic saying it has reworked communication between the aircraft’s systems and avionics to reduce processing overhead, with pre-release testing indicating fewer stutters, better stability, and higher baseline frame rates on the ground.

Patch 1.0.9a, for the iniManager only, has added further optimisation specifically intended to reduce main-thread load.

Several avionics and flight-management issues have been addressed, including fixes for VNAV transitions into VFLC and VPATH, LPV guidance after the final approach fix, FMS fuel and performance entries, flight-plan uplinks becoming stuck in a pending state, and autopilot localiser tracking being too aggressive on final approach.

Issues regarding the standby altimeter, VSD indications, EICAS elements, and several simulator variables have also been corrected.

Synaptic has increased the brightness of the landing and taxi lights, for MSFS 2024 only, and the audio control panels now have functional volume control knobs.

A separate fix has also addressed black cockpit displays, which could affect some MSFS 2020 users if the WASM cache was not manually cleared beforehand.

The following changes were made after the marketplace submission of v1.0.9 and therefore will not be included in the marketplace package until the next version, v1.0.10, goes live.

Until then, they will only be available through iniManager.

Version 1.0.9 has been available on the in-sim Marketplace for PC and Xbox for quite some time.

The 1.0.9a patch is currently exclusive to iniManager, and its latest performance changes and a fix for NAV1/2 tuning following nav-to-nav transfers will not be uploaded to the Marketplace until version 1.0.10.

Synaptic recommends performing a clean reinstall when moving to the new build.

Work is underway on version 1.0.10, which is planned to restore the Airport Moving Map for both Navigraph and non-Navigraph users, among others.

The Synaptic Simulations/iniBuilds A220 is available on the iniBuilds Store and MSFS Marketplace for MSFS 2020 and 2024. It retails for $67.26 USD (£49.99 GBP, €58.28 EUR)
