SunExpress is launching flights to Damascus and Aleppo from Antalya and Izmir as of March. The weekly direct flight schedule between Türkiye and Syria has been announced.
SunExpress, the joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, continues to expand its air transport network. The company has announced that it will resume flights to Syria as of March. Under the planning, direct services will be operated to Damascus and Aleppo from Antalya and Izmir.
Antalya Departure Flight Schedule Announced
According to the schedule shared by SunExpress;
- As of 7 March, 3 flights per week on the Antalya–Damascus route on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays,
- As of 11 March, 2 flights per week on the Antalya–Aleppo route on Wednesdays and Saturdays will be operated.
Non-Stop Flights from Izmir to Damascus and Aleppo
Flights departing from Izmir will begin as of 8 March.
- On the Izmir–Damascus route, 3 flights per week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays,
- On the Izmir–Aleppo route, 2 direct flights per week on Fridays and Sundays will be operated.
Contribution to Regional Air Connectivity Targeted
Within the scope of its Türkiye–Syria flight programme, SunExpress aims to offer passengers easier and faster travel opportunities through direct flights from Antalya and Izmir. The company aims for this step not only to contribute to regional air connectivity, but also to support commercial and social mobility.
