Southwind Airlines Opens New Route: Istanbul–Zhukovsky

Southwind Airlines has launched scheduled flights on the Istanbul–Moscow (Zhukovsky) route. The inaugural flight was welcomed with special events; flights will operate twice a week with a Boeing 737-8 MAX.

Southwind Airlines has commenced scheduled services on the Istanbul–Moscow (Zhukovsky) route as part of its 2025/26 winter flight schedule. The airline’s first flight on this route was successfully operated on 20 November.

Special Welcome at Zhukovsky Airport for the Inaugural Flight

According to a statement by Zhukovsky Airport, a special celebration programme was organised in the terminal for the inaugural service.

As part of the welcome:

  • The check-in area was decorated with themed ornaments,
  • Various refreshments were offered to passengers,
  • Instant photo services were provided, with souvenir cards distributed.

The event created a passenger experience–focused atmosphere for the launch of the new route.

Twice-Weekly Flights: Thursday and Sunday

Southwind Airlines’ Istanbul–Moscow (Zhukovsky) flights will operate twice a week until 26 March.

Flight days:

  • Thursday
  • Sunday

The services are operated with Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft from the airline’s modern fleet.
