The 17th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2025) opened its doors in Istanbul with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. One of the most striking displays at the fair came from Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ).
TUSAŞ delivered spectacular aerial performances with the HÜRJET jet trainer and light attack aircraft, the HÜRKUŞ basic training aircraft, and the AKSUNGUR unmanned aerial vehicle. HÜRJET, in particular, performed its first large-scale flight demonstration at such an event and received great applause from spectators.
A statement shared on TUSAŞ’s official social media accounts read:
“With the honourable attendance of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, we made our mark at IDEF 2025 with flight demonstrations of HÜRJET, HÜRKUŞ, and AKSUNGUR. Throughout the fair, we will continue to showcase the power of our national aviation in the skies.”
During IDEF 2025, visitors will have the opportunity to watch live performances of national air platforms. At the TUSAŞ stand, Turkey’s advanced aerospace projects, engineering infrastructure, and technological capabilities are also being exhibited.
