Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu shared the latest figures regarding the scope of transportation discounts implemented after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan declared 2025 as the “Family Year”. Uraloğlu stated that, through the joint initiative carried out with the Ministry of Family and Social Services, millions of citizens have gained access to more affordable and accessible transport services, and announced that a total of 933,929 people benefited from discounted travel opportunities throughout the year.
705,142 Passengers Benefited from the Turkish Airlines Family Discount
Within the campaign launched by Turkish Airlines on 21 January 2025 as part of the Family Year, a 15% family discount is applied on net fares for domestic flights. At least 3 and up to 9 family members sharing the same surname on the same reservation can benefit from this opportunity.
Minister Uraloğlu announced that during the January–October 2025 period, a total of 705,142 passengers flew at discounted rates on Turkish Airlines’ scheduled and additional flights.
