Pegasus Launches “Flying to the Future” Project to Empower Young Women in Earthquake Zones with Technology

Pegasus Airlines has awarded this year’s grant of its social responsibility programme Flying to the Future to the Nirengi Association, supporting young people in transforming their energy into social benefit. Under the programme, the project titled First Step in Technology – Digital Transformation Workshop for Young Women will be supported, aiming to provide digital skills to young women living in earthquake-affected regions.

Digital Hope for Women Affected by the Kahramanmaraş Earthquake

The programme, which has been run since 2018 in collaboration with the Support Foundation for Civil Society (STDV), aims to increase the active participation of young people aged 18–29 in social, economic, and public life across Türkiye. This year’s selected project by the Nirengi Association focuses on young women from 11 provinces affected by the Kahramanmaraş-centred earthquakes.

As part of the project, 330 women living in three separate container areas near the Hatay Antakya Nirengi Hub will receive digital transformation training in areas such as basic computer literacy, internet use, digital safety, and career guidance.
