Pegasus has expanded its codeshare agreement with Iberia. Flights to Bogota via Madrid have started, while new routes were also added to the joint network.
Pegasus Airlines continues to expand its international flight network by broadening its codeshare agreement with Spanish airline Iberia. Under the new agreement, Pegasus passengers will now be able to travel to Bogota, the capital of Colombia, via Madrid on a single ticket.
The new route, considered one of the key steps in the company’s Europe-centered connection strategy, has also strengthened Pegasus’ access to Latin America.
Bogota Route Officially in Service
As of May 2026, the Madrid–Bogota route has been included in the joint flight network between Pegasus and Iberia. Thus, passengers departing from Türkiye gained easier and more integrated access to Bogota via Madrid.
With the new implementation, baggage transfer, reservation procedures, and connecting flight processes are aimed to be managed through a single-ticket system.
Pegasus Strengthens Its European Connections
The expansion of the codeshare agreement was not limited to the Colombia route alone. Iberia-operated Madrid–Santiago de Compostela and Madrid–Tenerife South routes were also added to the joint flight network.
With this step, Pegasus increased its Spain-based connection options, while passengers gained broader access opportunities between Europe and Latin America.
Strategic Step in Latin America Expansion
Pegasus, which has recently focused on long-haul connection models in the aviation sector, aims to increase its visibility in the Latin American market through its partnership with Iberia.
