Pegasus Offers a Digital Future to Young Women in the Earthquake Zone
Pegasus Airlines continues to bring hope to young women living in the earthquake-affected region through its social responsibility programme “Flying to the Future”. In the new term of the programme, the Nirengi Association’s project “First Step in Technology – Digital Transformation Workshop for Young Women” has been included in the scope of support.
Digital Training Opportunity for 330 Women
A total of 330 young women from the provinces affected by the Kahramanmaraş-centred earthquakes will receive training in areas ranging from computer literacy and internet use to digital security and career guidance. The training sessions will take place in three container classrooms neighbouring the Nirengi Hub campus in Antakya, Hatay.
Goal: Empowering Women in the Digital World
The project led by the Nirengi Association aims to both increase employment opportunities for young women and support their personal development through digital transformation. In doing so, it will help pave the way for women to take a stronger role in the business world.
50 Projects Supported with “Flying to the Future”
Since its launch in 2018 in collaboration with the Support Foundation for Civil Society (STDV), Pegasus’ “Flying to the Future” grant programme has supported nearly 50 different projects. From education to career planning, the programme has contributed to the development of thousands of young people. The company defines this programme not merely as a corporate social responsibility project but as a long-term partnership accompanying young people on the path to realising their dreams.
Examples from Previous Projects
The “Youth Side” project, supported in 2024, focused on addressing the psychosocial needs of young people struggling to survive in challenging post-earthquake conditions. Within the scope of the project, 100 young people participated in individual and group therapy sessions with volunteer psychologists. In addition, 175 young people benefited from sessions organised in collaboration with the International Coaching Federation, creating new roadmaps for their careers and personal development.
