Pegasus Airlines has started direct flights from Gaziantep to Cologne Bonn Airport. The first flight to the city in southeastern Turkey was conducted yesterday (Thursday, June 20). Pegasus Airlines will continue to operate flights on this route every Thursday in the coming months.

Thilo Schmid, CEO of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH, stated, “Turkey is an important target market for our airport, both for vacationers and for passengers visiting family and friends. Therefore, we are very pleased that our range of flights to Turkey has been further expanded thanks to Pegasus Airlines’ direct connection to Gaziantep.”
Gaziantep: A City of History and Gastronomy
Gaziantep, with a population of over two million, is one of Turkey’s largest cities and has a history spanning over 5,000 years. The city’s Archaeology Museum displays numerous artifacts from antiquity, while the Zeugma Mosaic Museum houses a large collection of mosaics from the Roman period. The city’s emblematic castle is situated on a hill in the center. Gaziantep’s culinary culture is also remarkably rich: according to UNESCO, Gaziantep is one of the world’s most important gastronomic cities.
Flight Details and Reservations
The flight duration between Cologne/Bonn and Gaziantep is approximately four hours. Flights are operated by Airbus A320 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Reservations can be made at www.flypgs.com/de.
