According to its 2025 provisional tax declaration, Pegasus Hava Taşımacılığı A.Ş. reported a period loss of TRY 39.7 billion despite net sales of TRY 187.5 billion. Foreign exchange losses and financing expenses stood out.
Pegasus Announced Its 2025 Provisional Tax Income Statement
Pegasus Hava Taşımacılığı A.Ş., one of Türkiye’s leading airline companies, submitted to the tax office the income statement included in the provisional tax declaration for the accounting period 01.01.2025 – 31.12.2025. According to financial data not prepared under capital markets legislation, the company closed the year with a net loss of TRY 39.7 billion.
Strong Revenue and Sales Performance, Weak Profitability
In 2025, the company reported:
- Gross sales: TRY 189.04 billion
- Net sales: TRY 187.57 billion
- Gross sales profit: TRY 26.45 billion
The majority of net sales consisted of international sales amounting to TRY 153.96 billion. Domestic sales were realised at around TRY 30 billion.
However, as operating expenses reached TRY 30.68 billion, the company recorded an operating loss of TRY 4.23 billion.
Foreign Exchange Losses Weighed on the Balance Sheet
Other ordinary income from operations amounted to TRY 65.18 billion, while expenses under the same item totalled TRY 85.58 billion.
Key items included:
- Foreign exchange gains: TRY 59.73 billion
- Foreign exchange losses: TRY 84.42 billion
- Financing expenses: TRY 16.46 billion
As a result, the company’s ordinary loss reached approximately TRY 41.1 billion.
TRY 39.7 Billion Net Loss
Following extraordinary income and expenses, the company’s net period loss was recorded as TRY 39,740,868,934.
