Otto Aerospace has unveiled its next-generation aircraft, the Phantom 3500, valued at £14.5 million. Instead of traditional windows, the aircraft is equipped with television screens, allowing passengers to view the outside scenery in real-time through advanced camera systems.
With its aerodynamic design expected to reduce fuel consumption by approximately 60% compared to conventional aircraft, the Phantom 3500 features a spacious nine-seat cabin, a height of two metres, and state-of-the-art avionics. The aircraft’s first test flights are planned for 2027, with entry into service scheduled for 2030.
FlexJet has placed an order for 300 Phantom 3500s, highlighting fuel efficiency and sustainability goals in both private and commercial aviation. Otto Aerospace CEO Paul Touw stated at the Paris Air Show: “We are reshaping aviation by achieving carbon neutrality 20 years ahead of the 2050 target.”
It was also announced that Otto will invest approximately £340 million in a new production facility in Jacksonville.
