Ordu-Giresun Airport continued to play a key role in regional transportation, serving a total of 638,451 passengers between January and July 2025.
According to data from the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ), passenger traffic in the first seven months of the year comprised 612,700 domestic and 25,751 international passengers. Compared to the same period last year, domestic passenger numbers fell by 2%, while international passengers saw an impressive 130% surge.
During this period, the airport successfully handled 5,200 tonnes of freight and 170 tonnes of cargo.
In terms of aircraft movements, there were a total of 4,432 take-offs and landings — 4,245 on domestic routes and 187 on international routes. These figures highlight that Ordu-Giresun Airport contributes increasingly not only to domestic connectivity but also to the region’s economy and tourism through its growing international operations.
Ordu-Giresun Airport remains a vital hub for both domestic and international travel in the Black Sea region.
