This surge highlights the record-breaking private jet ownership among Turkish businesspeople, as wealthy entrepreneurs continue to draw attention with their growing aviation fleets.
Turkey Ranks 13th Globally
Turkey ranks 13th in the world for private jet ownership. By the end of 2023, the country had 110 private jets, and this number is expected to climb to 158 in 2024, solidifying Turkey’s position as a key player among countries with significant private aviation fleets.
Business Tycoons Leading with $80 Million Private Jets
According to Forbes data, the number of businesspeople owning private jets in Turkey is rising rapidly. Mehmet Nazif Günal tops the list with his $80 million Global 8000 aircraft, followed by Mehmet Ali Aydınlar with a $79 million Gulfstream G700 and Cengiz Holding with a $65 million Gulfstream G650.
Other Notable Private Jet Owners
Cemal Kalyoncu owns two private jets: a Bombardier Global Express 5500 worth $43 million and a Bombardier Challenger 605 valued at $9.95 million. Mehmet Cengiz also possesses two jets: a $65 million General Dynamics Gulfstream G650 and a $19.5 million Cessna Citation Latitude.
Meanwhile, Ömer Koç owns a $62 million Dassault Systèmes Falcon 8X and a $57 million Falcon 6X. Fuat Tosyalı has a $53 million Falcon 7X and a $16 million Falcon 2000S, both produced by Dassault Systèmes.
