Polish President Karol Nawrocki visited ASELSAN’s Gölbaşı Technology Base in Ankara, emphasizing the importance of strengthening defense industry cooperation between Türkiye and Poland. During the visit, national technologies, particularly in the fields of electronic warfare, radar, and air defense systems, were introduced, while it was underscored that new joint projects between the two NATO allies are on the agenda.
As part of his official visit to Türkiye at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Polish President Karol Nawrocki visited ASELSAN’s Gölbaşı Technology Base in Ankara. Hosted by President of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün and ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol, the visit focused on the company’s indigenous and national defense technologies as well as defense industry cooperation between Türkiye and Poland.
ASELSAN’s Advanced Technology Solutions Presented to the Polish Delegation
During the visit, the Polish delegation received a comprehensive presentation on ASELSAN’s high-tech solutions developed in the fields of electronic warfare, radar, air defense, communications, and electro-optical systems.
The delegation had the opportunity to examine firsthand the technological level achieved by Türkiye’s defense industry and received detailed information about the operational capabilities of national systems and their compliance with NATO standards.
Nawrocki: “Our Cooperation with Türkiye Is Indispensable”
During his speech, Polish President Karol Nawrocki emphasized the importance of the strategic partnership between Türkiye and Poland.
Stating that the two countries have been strong allies for many years, Nawrocki said:
“Cooperation between the defense industries of Türkiye and Poland is indispensable. This cooperation is of great importance for both Türkiye and Poland. We have been connected as strategic partners for decades. Following the agreement we signed with Türkiye in 2025, we are ready to establish an even stronger alliance with Türkiye. ASELSAN is a well-established company founded with the support of the Turkish Armed Forces. We are always ready to meet with you. We should share our experiences.”
President Nawrocki also expressed his appreciation for ASELSAN’s activities in Poland and its cooperation with the local industry.
Türkiye–Poland Defense Partnership Expands with New Projects
As defense industry cooperation between Türkiye and Poland has accelerated in recent years, ASELSAN has stood out particularly with its solutions in electronic warfare and advanced defense technologies.
The evaluation of new projects aimed at joint production, technology sharing, and the enhancement of operational capabilities between the two NATO allies indicates that the strategic partnership in the defense sector will become even stronger.
USD 410 Million Export Agreement Draws Attention
One of the most significant milestones in ASELSAN’s cooperation with Poland was the approximately USD 410 million export agreement for electronic warfare systems signed in December 2025.
The agreement strengthens the Turkish defense industry’s presence across Europe and the NATO region while also demonstrating the international confidence in ASELSAN’s high-technology solutions.
