The Sudanese Army confirmed the crash happened on Tuesday, with the aircraft going down shortly after departing from the airbase north of Omdurman. However, no official explanation has yet been provided regarding the cause of the crash.

Reports indicated that several homes in Omdurman’s Karrari district sustained damage following the crash. Authorities stated that both civilians and military personnel lost their lives in the incident.

Bodies and Injured Transported to Hospitals

The Sudanese Ministry of Health announced that some of the bodies were transferred to Nau Hospital in Omdurman. While the initial death toll was reported as 19, this figure later rose to 46. Additionally, 10 people injured in the crash were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
