A military aircraft fleet of the Royal Air Force of Oman escorted the plane carrying the President of the Republic of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as it entered the airspace of the Sultanate of Oman.
This escort, regarded as a gesture of diplomatic courtesy, drew attention as a symbol of the friendly relations between Türkiye and Oman.
During President Erdoğan’s visit to Oman, various bilateral meetings and cooperation agreements between the two countries are expected to be discussed. The visit is considered to have the potential to open a new chapter in Türkiye–Oman relations.
