Air Astana has ordered 25 Airbus A320neo and A321neo aircraft to expand its fleet. The order comes on the 20th anniversary of the group’s first A320 flight in 2006 and will be used across both Air Astana and FlyArystan fleets.
As part of its fleet expansion and modernization strategy, Air Astana Group has placed a firm order for 25 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft. The order includes five A320neo and 20 A321neo aircraft, marking the group’s largest direct order to date.
Air Astana CEO Peter Foster stated, “This major order reflects our long-term commitment to operational efficiency and service excellence. The Airbus A320neo Family delivers superior performance in both premium and long-haul flight experiences. Our new fleet will continue to support sustainable growth and profitability.”
The new aircraft will be operated across both Air Astana and its low-cost subsidiary FlyArystan. Currently, Air Astana’s fleet consists of 59 Airbus A320 Family aircraft.

The A320 Family has become one of the most popular single-aisle aircraft worldwide, with over 19,000 orders. Its largest member, the A321neo, offers long-range capability and high performance, while providing at least 20% fuel savings and CO₂ reduction compared to previous-generation aircraft. All A320 Family aircraft can operate with up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), and Airbus aims to achieve 100% SAF capability across its fleet by 2030.
