İGA, the operator of Istanbul Airport, has announced that German airline Lufthansa will start scheduled flights between Munich and Istanbul as of 29 March. Under the new route, Lufthansa will operate daily flights between the two cities.
In a statement shared via İGA’s social media accounts, it was noted that Lufthansa will operate regular flights between Munich Franz Josef Strauss Airport, one of Germany’s major aviation hubs, and İGA Istanbul Airport.
The announcement stated:
“Lufthansa will operate daily flights between Munich Franz Josef Strauss Airport and İGA Istanbul Airport as of 29 March. We wish all our passengers a pleasant journey.”
The new route is expected to strengthen air transport between Türkiye and Germany and further expand Istanbul Airport’s international connectivity network.
