Bayraktar KIZILELMA, the unmanned combat aircraft developed by Baykar, successfully completed a new test firing conducted entirely with indigenous systems. The target designated by ASELSAN’s TOYGUN targeting system was struck with high precision using the LGK-82 and TEBER-82 guidance kits.
Bayraktar KIZILELMA, the unmanned combat aircraft developed by Baykar, successfully carried out a new test firing that brought together critical technologies of Türkiye’s domestic defense industry. During the test, the targeting mission was performed by ASELSAN’s indigenous TOYGUN electro-optical targeting system, while the fixed ground target was struck with pinpoint accuracy using ASELSAN’s LGK-82 and ROKETSAN’s TEBER-82 guidance kits. The test once again demonstrated Türkiye’s integrated national capability in the defense industry.
Bayraktar KIZILELMA Successfully Completes Test Firing with National Systems
According to a statement released by Baykar, the target detection, tracking, and laser designation missions during the test were carried out using the TOYGUN electro-optical targeting system developed by ASELSAN.
The fixed ground target designated by TOYGUN’s laser was struck with high precision using the LGK-82 and TEBER-82 guidance kits. The successful completion of the test once again confirmed KIZILELMA’s integration capability with indigenous avionics and munition systems.
Baykar, ASELSAN, and ROKETSAN Come Together on the Same Platform
The test showcased the joint mission success of indigenous technologies developed by Türkiye’s three leading defense companies: Baykar, ASELSAN, and ROKETSAN.
The TOYGUN system used during the test successfully carried out target detection, target tracking, and laser designation missions while preserving Bayraktar KIZILELMA’s Low Observable capability.
This integration is intended to further enhance the operational effectiveness of the unmanned combat aircraft.
TOYGUN System Preserves Low Observable Advantage
The TOYGUN electro-optical targeting system developed by ASELSAN stands out with its design specifically developed for low observable aerial platforms.
The system can perform target detection, tracking, and laser designation missions without increasing the platform’s radar signature.
Ahmet Akyol: “TOYGUN Is KIZILELMA’s Sharp Eye”
ASELSAN President & CEO Ahmet Akyol highlighted the level reached by national engineering in his statement following the test.
Akyol stated:
“ASELSAN TOYGUN is the sharp eye of Bayraktar KIZILELMA. It performs targeting and designation while preserving its low observable advantage, and delivers strikes with LGK and TEBER. This success is a concrete indicator of the level our national engineering has reached and of our strong cooperation. I sincerely congratulate all of our teams who contributed.”
ROKETSAN: TEBER-82 Successfully Completed Its Mission
ROKETSAN President & CEO Murat İkinci also evaluated the test firing and stated that the TEBER-82 Guidance Kit successfully completed its mission.
İkinci said:
“During the test firing conducted from KIZILELMA, the TEBER-82 Guidance Kit successfully struck the target. Together, we continue to strengthen our capabilities with the national technologies we have developed.”
Integrated Technologies Stand Out in National Defense
The successfully completed test once again demonstrated Türkiye’s capability to fully integrate unmanned aerial platforms, smart munitions, and avionics systems.
The joint mission success of the national technologies developed by Baykar, ASELSAN, and ROKETSAN is considered an important milestone for the future air-to-air and air-to-ground operations that Bayraktar KIZILELMA will carry out.
