JetBlue Aircraft Strikes Window at Richmond Airport: Passengers Safe
A JetBlue aircraft struck a terminal window during pushback manoeuvres at Richmond International Airport on Thursday, 11 September. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported.
On JetBlue’s Flight 1282 from Richmond to Boston, the aircraft’s wingtip made contact with the terminal building’s glass. After the incident, the aircraft returned to the gate, and the airline initiated arrangements to provide another plane to avoid disrupting passengers’ travel plans.
In an official statement, JetBlue said:
“Safety is our number one priority. We are conducting a thorough investigation with all relevant parties to understand how this incident occurred.”
