Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu shared Istanbul Airport’s flight and passenger statistics for 2025 with the public. According to the announced data, Istanbul Airport operated 549,316 flights throughout 2025 and served 84,406,050 passengers.
Minister Uraloğlu emphasised that these figures have made Istanbul Airport not only one of Türkiye’s, but also one of the world’s busiest and most strategic aviation hubs.
Stating that the number of passengers increased by 5.07 percent compared to the previous year, Uraloğlu noted that this rise is a concrete indicator of the stable and sustainable growth of Türkiye’s aviation sector.
Drawing attention to the fact that Istanbul Airport’s position in global aviation is strengthening year by year, Uraloğlu said that Türkiye aims to further consolidate its regional and global leadership in international air transport.
