Iceland’s national airline, Icelandair, is set to launch its first flights to Turkey. Starting on 25 September 2025, Icelandair will operate direct flights on the Keflavik-Istanbul route. This new connection will facilitate easier travel between Iceland and Turkey, enhancing tourism and business opportunities between the two countries.
The flights are expected to take approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes and will operate with a frequency of four times per week. Icelandair aims to provide passengers with a comfortable travel experience by utilising its modern Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft for these routes.

With Icelandair’s introduction of flights to Istanbul Airport, cultural and commercial ties between Iceland and Turkey are expected to strengthen.
