Turkish flight simulator manufacturer Havelsan delivered its fifth full flight simulator to Turkish Airlines in May 2024.
New Delivery and Installation
The Airbus A320 full flight simulator, delivered and installed in May 2024, is the second Airbus A320 full flight simulator that Havelsan has provided to Turkish Airlines. This simulator is part of a procurement agreement for a total of eleven Airbus A320 CEO/neo and Boeing B737MAX full flight simulators and FTDs (Flight Training Devices) for Turkish Airlines.
EASA Certification
This full flight simulator, manufactured by Havelsan and operated by Turkish Airlines, has received the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Level D certification. Havelsan CEO Mehmet Akif Nacar stated, “We are excited to announce the certification of the first Airbus A320 EASA Level D full flight simulator manufactured by HAVELSAN in 2024. It symbolizes our joint commitment with Turkish Airlines to meet world-class standards in simulator training infrastructure.”
Boeing B737MAX Simulators
In 2023, Havelsan obtained multiple EASA Level D Certifications for Boeing B737MAX full flight simulators. Havelsan also supports Turkish Airlines through a training center partnership.
Plans and Goals for 2024
Havelsan announced plans to increase its activities and support for airlines and simulator training centers in 2024. The company has the capacity to produce up to eight full flight simulators annually and will collaborate with airlines to expand simulator training center operations with flexible solutions.
