Gulfstream Aerospace has reached two historic milestones with its flagship business jet, the G700. The company completed its 100th customer delivery while simultaneously achieving its 100th city-pair speed record, once again demonstrating its leadership in business aviation.
Gulfstream G700 Strengthens Its Position at the Top with a Double Record
One of the most ambitious aircraft in the business aviation sector, the Gulfstream G700 has added a new success story to its performance record. Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. announced that it has completed the 100th customer delivery of the ultra-long-range business jet while also reaching its 100th city-pair speed record. This dual milestone highlights the level of global demand for the G700 and the aircraft’s operational capabilities.
In a statement issued by the company, it was emphasized that the G700 is setting new standards in the business aviation industry not only with its speed and range performance but also with its advanced manufacturing technologies and next-generation cockpit systems.
Mark Burns: “The G700 Has Become the New Industry Standard”
Gulfstream President Mark Burns stated that strong engineering infrastructure and advanced manufacturing technologies are behind these achievements.
In his remarks, Burns said that the G700 has further strengthened its position as the flagship of the business aviation industry and noted that customer demand has continued to grow rapidly alongside increasing deliveries.
Burns emphasized that investments made together with the company’s parent shareholder, General Dynamics, have distinguished the G700 program through its quality and manufacturing maturity, adding that the performance demonstrated by the Gulfstream team has played a major role in this success.
The 100th Speed Record Connected Two Continents
The G700’s 100th city-pair speed record was achieved on a flight between Savannah, Georgia, and San Jose, California.
The aircraft completed the journey in just 4 hours and 36 minutes at an average cruise speed of Mach 0.91.
Following that record, the same aircraft flew from San Jose to Teterboro Airport in New Jersey and set another performance record by completing the flight in 4 hours and 14 minutes, again at an average speed of Mach 0.91.
These results once again demonstrated the G700’s efficiency in high-speed, long-range operations.
Built with Advanced Manufacturing Technologies
The G700 is developed and manufactured at Gulfstream’s state-of-the-art production campus in Savannah.
Thanks to advanced robotic systems, digital manufacturing technologies, and precision assembly processes used at the facility, production quality is maintained at the highest level. The company states that this approach ensures every aircraft delivers maximum performance from the moment it leaves the production line.
Digital Manufacturing and Robotic Systems Stand Out
Gulfstream’s next-generation manufacturing model is built around automation, robotic assembly systems, and advanced quality-control processes. This structure increases production efficiency while also accelerating delivery timelines.
A Next-Generation Cockpit Experience with the Symmetry Flight Deck
One of the most notable features of the G700 is the Symmetry Flight Deck cockpit system developed by Gulfstream.
Equipped with active control sidesticks and one of the most comprehensive touchscreen technologies in the industry, the system reduces pilot workload while enhancing operational awareness.
Combined Vision System Enhances Safety
The Combined Vision System (CVS) onboard the aircraft integrates Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) and Synthetic Vision System (SVS) technologies into a single display.
Operating through dual head-up displays, the system provides significant advantages to pilots in low-visibility conditions and enables safer access to more airports.
To date, more than 700 pilots have earned type ratings for the G700 through training provided by FlightSafety International, highlighting the strong interest in this cockpit architecture.
The Widest Cabin in Its Class and Exceptional Range Performance
The G700 stands out with one of the widest cabins in the business jet segment.
The aircraft offers:
- 7,750 nautical miles (14,353 km) of range at Mach 0.85,
- 6,650 nautical miles (12,316 km) of range at Mach 0.90.
Its maximum operating speed reaches Mach 0.935.
Passenger Comfort Takes Priority on Long Flights
As part of the Gulfstream Cabin Experience concept, the aircraft features a 100% fresh air system, 20 panoramic oval windows, and the industry’s lowest cabin altitude.
These features help reduce passenger fatigue during ultra-long-range flights while minimizing the effects of jet lag.
G700 Continues to Strengthen Its Position in the Global Market
Since receiving FAA certification, the G700 has rapidly expanded worldwide and is now actively operating with certification in more than 20 countries.
Growing deliveries, speed records, and strong customer demand continue to demonstrate the global success of Gulfstream’s next-generation business jet program.
Following the G700, the company aims to maintain its leadership in the ultra-long-range business jet segment with the G800 program.
