One of the leading companies in the aviation sector, GE Aerospace, has signed a crucial agreement with the United States Air Force. The company has secured a $5 billion deal for F110 engines integrated into F-15 and F-16 fighter jets.

F110 Engines: A Pillar of Aviation for 40 Years

With over 11 million flight hours to date, the F110 engines have proven their performance and stand out for delivering the highest thrust in their class. Having surpassed four decades of production and technological advancements, this engine family continues to be one of the most critical components of military aviation.

F110 engines, actively used in the global fleets of F-15 and F-16 jets, are renowned for their high reliability and operational efficiency.

Enhancing Operational Readiness and Emphasising Reliability

Amy Gowder, President and CEO of GE Aerospace Defence & Systems, expressed that the agreement is a great honour for the company. She emphasised that the contract serves as a significant indicator of trust in the capabilities and reliability of the F110 engine. Additionally, she highlighted that this deal is a continuation of long-term collaborations aimed at enhancing the operational readiness of the US Air Force.

Including Spare Parts and Maintenance Services

Under the agreement, GE Aerospace will not be limited to engine supply alone. The company will also provide spare parts, maintenance services, and related logistical support to meet the evolving needs of international operators. By working closely with the US Air Force, GE Aerospace aims to ensure the sustainable performance of global fleets.
