Flyadeal Expands Regional Network with New Flights to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Alexandria

Saudi Arabia’s rapidly growing low-cost airline, flyadeal, is expanding its regional network with two important new destinations for the summer season. The airline is launching flights to Sabiha Gökçen International Airport on Istanbul’s Asian side and to Alexandria, Egypt’s historic port city.

Starting May 29, flyadeal will operate daily scheduled flights from Riyadh to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen. This new service will complement the already popular flights from Riyadh and Jeddah to Istanbul Airport.

Additionally, from June 2, flyadeal will launch four weekly flights from Jeddah to Alexandria. With this new route, the airline further strengthens its Egypt operations by adding Alexandria to its existing services to Cairo, Sohag, and Sharm El Sheikh. As a result, flyadeal will reach a total of 69 weekly flight frequencies between Saudi Arabia and its largest international market, Egypt.

Tickets for all new routes are now available at competitive prices through flyadeal’s mobile app, official website (www.flyadeal.com), and authorized travel agencies.

CEO Greenway: “Offering More Choices to Our Customers”

Commenting on the announcement, flyadeal CEO Steven Greenway said:

“Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen is a significant demonstration of our commitment to offering passengers an alternative airport option within the same city.

Our Alexandria route, meanwhile, is based on the strong cultural and commercial ties between Saudi Arabia and Egypt, as well as the importance of Jeddah as a hub for Hajj and Umrah travel.
These two new routes are part of our strategy to offer customers more flights and destinations in popular and emerging markets.”

Greenway also noted that this expansion is part of flyadeal’s ambitious growth plans for 2025, which will be detailed during the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) exhibition starting May 6 in Dubai.

Istanbul and Alexandria: Cultural and Tourist Attractions

Istanbul continues to be a favorite destination for tourists worldwide with its rich historical and cultural heritage, uniquely bridging Asia and Europe. The city’s Asian side offers visitors a different Istanbul experience with its vibrant neighborhoods and historical legacy.

Alexandria, one of the largest port cities on the Mediterranean, stands out as one of North Africa’s top tourist destinations with its beautiful coastline, ancient Greco-Roman ruins, and cultural richness.

Flyadeal: A Rising Player on the Regional Stage

Founded in 2017, flyadeal today operates a fleet of 38 Airbus A320 family aircraft, serving more than 30 seasonal and year-round destinations across Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, Europe, North Africa, and South Asia. The airline plans to further expand its special Umrah services and international operations in the coming period.

At Arabian Travel Market 2024, flyadeal will showcase its regional growth and new route strategies to industry professionals at a special exhibition stand.
