SunExpress Antalya-Zurich Flight Returns Due to Technical Malfunction

SunExpress flight XQ124, operating the Antalya–Zurich route, returned to Antalya Airport shortly after takeoff due to a technical malfunction. Passengers were safely evacuated, and a technical investigation into the incident has been launched.

The Boeing 737 aircraft, registered as TC-SOT and operated by SunExpress, departed Antalya Airport for Zurich on the morning of 8 June 2025. However, shortly after takeoff, the flight crew decided to return to Antalya due to a technical issue.

Flight Landed Safely, Passengers Evacuated

The pilots contacted air traffic control and initiated return procedures. Flight XQ124 landed safely at Antalya Airport, and all passengers were evacuated from the aircraft without incident.

Initial reports indicate that there were no injuries or casualties. The cause of the technical malfunction has not yet been disclosed, but a thorough inspection of the aircraft is underway.

Rescheduled Flight Time Still Unclear
