Due to adverse weather conditions expected in Istanbul, a 10 per cent capacity reduction will be implemented in flight operations at Sabiha Gökçen Airport on Monday, 12 January 2026.

Due to adverse weather conditions expected in Istanbul, a capacity restriction will be implemented on flight operations at Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. In a statement issued by the airport operator ISG, it was announced that flight capacity will be reduced by 10 per cent throughout Monday, 12 January 2026.

In the announcement shared with the public by ISG, it was stated that the decision was taken in line with the latest assessments of the Turkish State Meteorological Service, due to adverse meteorological conditions expected to affect Istanbul as a whole.

The statement advised passengers to follow the official announcements of the relevant airline companies, check their flight information, and arrange their travel plans accordingly before travelling to the airport, in order to avoid any inconvenience.

Officials noted that operational planning may be updated depending on how weather conditions develop, and called on passengers to closely follow the latest updates.
