Officials at Portland International Jetport have confirmed that a Southwest Airlines plane will be investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) after taking off from a temporarily closed runway last Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred when an airport vehicle moved off the runway just before the plane took off. The Southwest flight successfully landed at Baltimore Washington International Airport as scheduled.
Jetport officials confirmed the incident and stated that they are participating in the FAA investigation.
