Passenger’s Condition Became Critical
According to information obtained, after a passenger’s health condition worsened during the flight, the cockpit crew activated emergency procedures. The aircraft decided to divert to Antalya Airport as the nearest suitable airport and, following landing, was stopped on the runway due to the passenger’s condition.
Medical Teams Intervened on the Runway
Emergency medical teams at Antalya Airport, who had been informed in advance, met the aircraft on the runway. The teams provided medical assistance to the ill passenger on board and took over care. No official statement has yet been made regarding whether the passenger was transferred to hospital or the progression of their medical condition.
Flight to Continue with Delay
Officials stated that after the necessary medical and operational procedures are completed, the EW1179 flight is expected to continue to Düsseldorf with a delay.
