Eurocontrol Report: Istanbul Airport at the Top

Istanbul Airport was recorded as Europe’s busiest airport between May 6 and May 12, with an average of 1,430 flights per day.

According to the European Aviation Report published by the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (Eurocontrol), Istanbul Airport ranked first during this period with a daily average of 1,430 flights.

The report showed that Istanbul Airport was followed by Amsterdam Schiphol Airport with 1,402 daily flights and London Heathrow Airport with 1,337 daily flights.

The Eurocontrol report highlights the intensity and activity in Europe’s aviation sector, while Istanbul Airport’s achievement underscores Turkey’s strategic position in air traffic once again.
