Emirates Airlines has teamed up with the NBA to offer basketball fans around the world an unforgettable experience. The NBA-themed Airbus A380, with its special design and onboard services, is set to become a new favorite for basketball enthusiasts in the skies.
Special Design and Experience
Emirates’ new A380 stands out with its eye-catching blue gradient fuselage and prominent NBA logo. After a 24-day transformation, the plane’s engine covers now feature red calligraphy and illustrations of basketball players in action, creating a visual celebration of the sport’s spirit.
Onboard, the experience is enriched with co-branded seat headrests across all classes, special drink coasters, and menus inspired by the basketball court. Emirates’ Onboard Lounge is equipped with sports-themed refreshments, and passengers can even watch live games mid-flight.
NBA-Themed Amenities and Activities
Throughout the NBA Cup from November 1 to December 17, Emirates will operate these special themed flights to 14 destinations across the U.S. and Canada. Passengers will be treated to game-day-inspired menus and amenities, immersing themselves in the basketball atmosphere in the air.
Basketball Theme at Airports
The NBA experience will extend beyond the aircraft, with Emirates offering themed dining options at airport lounges in Dubai, New York JFK, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Boston. Basketball fans traveling through these airports will be greeted with NBA-themed refreshments.
NBA Cup and Events
Emirates’ Vice President of Corporate Affairs, Boutros Boutros, announced the partnership with the NBA, aiming to bring basketball fans together through the airline’s global network. The NBA Cup kicks off on November 12, with the New York Knicks facing the Philadelphia 76ers in the first game.
