Almana will spearhead the airline’s commercial strategy across the West African nation, aiming to deepen partnerships and expand Emirates’ foothold in the region.
The executive brings extensive experience from key growth markets. Before this role, he served as Regional Manager for Pakistan, overseeing operations across five cities.
Since joining Emirates in 2017 through its UAE National Commercial Outstation Programme, Almana has navigated diverse aviation landscapes in India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives, honing expertise in sales, customer engagement, and market development.
Almana acknowledged Ghana’s strategic importance to Emirates, which has connected Accra to over 140 global destinations for two decades. “I’m honored to lead our efforts in this dynamic market,” he stated, bypassing corporate jargon. “We’ll build on our 20-year foundation alongside local partners to deliver world-class travel experiences.”
The appointment signals Emirates’ commitment to Ghana amid regional competition. Recently, the airline opened West Africa’s first dedicated Emirates travel retail store in Accra, offering personalized booking services. The move complements its multi-class service offering – from Economy to First Class – known for award-winning inflight entertainment and hospitality.
As Emirates strengthens its African network, Almana’s cross-continent experience positions him to navigate evolving travel demands and economic headwinds.
