The crash of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in Yoncalık village of Hakkari’s Yüksekova district caused great panic among the villagers. The incident occurred at noon, and extensive security measures were taken in the area close to the village.
According to the information obtained, the UAV crashed at noon in a field 5 kilometers from the district in Yoncalık village. The crash caused great fear and panic among the villagers. The UAV caught fire upon impact, creating dense smoke visible from many points in the village. Police and gendarmerie teams quickly arrived at the scene and took extensive security measures.
Firefighting teams from Yüksekova Municipality quickly reached the area and intervened in the fire. The fire was brought under control and extinguished thanks to the intensive efforts of the firefighting teams. After the fire was extinguished, security teams began investigations at the scene.
