Çukurova International Airport (COV) has added another destination to its international flight network. As of 1 June, AJET Airlines has launched direct flights from Çukurova to Skopje (SKP), the capital of North Macedonia.
With the addition of new routes, Çukurova International Airport continues to expand travel options from the region to various parts of the world. Operated by one of COV’s partners, AJET Airlines, flights to Skopje will take place weekly on Sundays from 1 June to 28 September, and twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays from 25 June to 24 September. This new route offers seamless access from Çukurova to the Balkans, while further strengthening the region’s international connectivity.
First Flight from Çukurova to Skopje Celebrated with Enthusiasm
The cabin crew of AJET’s inaugural flight from Çukurova to Skopje was seen off with flowers by Çukurova International Airport officials. Before departure, a ceremony was held on the airport apron where flowers were presented to the crew, and commemorative photos were taken in front of the aircraft with COV-SKP banners.
With these new flights, visitors from Skopje will have the opportunity to explore Çukurova’s fertile lands and rich culinary heritage, while local residents will enjoy easier access to the Balkans.
This new air bridge is expected to further strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Turkey and North Macedonia.
