CHP Deputy Group Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır criticized Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu for traveling to Germany by private jet, emphasizing the cost-saving measures currently being implemented in the public sector. Başarır posed a pointed question: “Did the ministry pay for that plane, or did the company that constantly receives tenders from you waive the fee?”
In a statement made in Hopa, Artvin, Başarır criticized Uraloğlu’s visit to Germany for discussions on green transportation, saying, “You went to Germany for green transportation, meaning for a cleaner environment. Isn’t green transportation supposed to mean fewer planes, especially private jets, Mr. Minister of Transport? Once again, I ask; did the ministry pay for that plane, or did the company that constantly receives tenders from you waive the fee? The public needs to know this.”
