SunExpress, the joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa, has once again received the prestigious “Distinction” award at the 2025 International Safety Awards—one of the world’s most renowned accolades in occupational health, safety, and employee wellbeing.
Organised for the 67th time by the British Safety Council, this year’s event recognised 789 organisations from 45 countries for their achievements in creating safe and healthy working environments. Having also received the highest-level “Distinction” award in 2023 and 2024, SunExpress has reinforced its leadership in the industry.

Presented at a ceremony in London, the award was seen as a result of SunExpress’s sustainable practices in occupational health, safety, and employee satisfaction that comply with international standards.
Founded in 1957, the British Safety Council provides consultancy, training, and awareness programmes on occupational health and safety around the world. The organisation’s award programme aims to honour companies that embrace a culture of safe and healthy working environments on an international scale.
