Boeing has announced that it will produce 96 AH-64E Apache attack helicopters for international customers under a foreign military sales contract worth approximately $4.7 billion awarded by the U.S. Army. This order marks the largest Apache helicopter procurement outside the United States.
In the statement released by Boeing, it was noted that deliveries are planned to begin in 2028. The company continues to provide pilot and maintenance training for eight Apache helicopters currently leased by the Polish Ministry of National Defence from the U.S. Army.
Highlighting that more than 1,300 Apache helicopters are in active service worldwide, Boeing stated that the new production will strengthen the defensive capabilities of allied nations.
Pentagon: Two Contracts for Boeing Exceeding a Total of $7 Billion
The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced on Tuesday that Boeing has secured not only the Apache contract but also an additional $2.4 billion U.S. Air Force agreement covering Lot 12 production aircraft, G081 subscriptions and licences, bringing the total value of the two contracts to more than $7 billion.
Global Demand for Apache Increasing
Boeing has delivered new Apache helicopters in recent months to several international customers, including the Australian Army, the Indian Army and the Royal Moroccan Air Force. The company states that these deliveries have significantly enhanced the global effectiveness of the Apache fleet and air assault capabilities.
