Bee Obstruction Delays Flight in India: Airbus A320 Unable to Depart Due to Swarm Attack!

An IndiGo Airlines Airbus A320 passenger plane in India was delayed for nearly an hour before takeoff after a swarm of bees gathered around its cargo door. The airline stated that procedures were followed and the flight operated safely.

An Airbus A320 operated by India-based IndiGo Airlines was unable to take off due to a swarm of bees near its cargo door. The Surat-Jaipur flight was delayed by approximately one hour after the bees clustered on the aircraft’s surface.

The incident was noticed by ground staff working on the airport apron. In accordance with safety protocols, the area around the aircraft was inspected, and necessary action was taken to remove the bees.

Airline: “It Was Beyond Our Control”

In a statement, an IndiGo spokesperson said: “Takeoff was delayed as a precautionary measure after a swarm of bees gathered near the aircraft’s cargo door. This was an uncontrollable situation. The flight was conducted as planned after receiving the necessary safety clearance.”

Passengers Were Already on Board

According to local media reports, passengers were already seated inside the aircraft at the scheduled departure time and had to wait in the cabin for about an hour. Some passengers reported seeing bees hitting the windows, and a few experienced moments of panic. The flight was completed without any injuries or technical issues.
