Azerbaijani Students Produce İHA with TUSAŞ Contribution

Students from Azerbaijan Technical University and Azerbaijan National Aviation Academy, with the support of Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ), have developed an unmanned aerial vehicle (İHA).

Gathering under TUSAŞ’s Engineer Development Program (EDP), 40 Azerbaijani students collaborated to achieve the first flight of the İHA. All parts of the İHA were produced by the students themselves, and four students involved in the project were sent to Turkey for training.

The project aims to provide trained personnel for the aviation and defense industries in Azerbaijan. Following eight months of training in a workshop established at Azerbaijan Technical University, the production of the İHA was completed. The successful flight of the İHA, designed for military purposes, once again emphasized the significance of the project.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Pınarbaşı, President of TUSAŞ Academy, stated after the successful completion of the project that the EDP was implemented for the first time outside of Turkey in Azerbaijan. Pınarbaşı emphasized that the training provided within the scope of the project has provided Azerbaijani students with valuable experience and increased their future job opportunities.
