Japan’s hybrid and value-focused airline brand AirJapan has announced that it will cease all operations as of 29 March 2026. Established by ANA Holdings in 2022, the brand was launched with the aim of providing affordable travel options from Asia to Japan. Based at Tokyo Narita (NRT), AirJapan operated Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft on routes to Seoul-Incheon (ICN), Bangkok (BKK), and Singapore (SIN). With the termination of its operations, AirJapan’s services will be consolidated under the ANA brand.
ANA’s Record Results and Strategic Consolidation Move
The decision to suspend AirJapan’s operations comes immediately after ANA reported revenues of 1.19 trillion yen (USD 7.9 billion) and operating profit of 97.6 billion yen (USD 634 million) for the first half of fiscal year 2025. Despite strong international demand, ANA cited aircraft delivery delays, B787 maintenance processes, and geopolitical uncertainties (particularly the war in Ukraine) as influential factors in its decision to streamline its brands.
Peach Aviation to Continue Operations
Peach Aviation, another ANA Group subsidiary, will continue operations focusing on short-haul and leisure destinations with its narrow-body Airbus fleet. As part of its global strategy, ANA plans to launch flights to Milan (MXP), Stockholm (ARN), and Istanbul (IST) in 2025. Additionally, the integration of Nippon Cargo Airlines, acquired in August 2025, is ongoing.

AirJapan’s Final Flight Schedule
The final day of AirJapan operations is set for Saturday, 28 March 2026. However, the official last flights are as follows:
NQ2 (Bangkok → Narita) – 29 March 00:10
NQ4 (Singapore → Narita) – 29 March 00:55
These flights are the return legs of NQ1 (Narita → Bangkok) and NQ3 (Narita → Singapore), which depart on 28 March.

Passenger Information
AirJapan has announced that passengers with existing bookings can travel as planned without any additional steps. New reservations will also continue to be accepted through AirJapan’s official website.
In a company statement:
“We thank you for the support shown for our flights under the AirJapan brand. From the upcoming fiscal year, our flights will continue solely under the ANA brand.”
